SortBlox: Color Sort Puzzle
SortBlox turns the familiar water sort puzzle into a tactile game of solid cubes. Pour the top same-color group between tubes until every filled tube contains only one color. All 1,000 levels are generated as solvable puzzles, with a gradual increase in colors, tube pressure, and the number of moves needed to recover useful space.
How to play SortBlox
- Select a tube, then select the tube where you want to pour.
- You can pour into an empty tube or onto a cube of the same color.
- A connected run of matching top cubes moves together when space allows.
- Complete the level by leaving each tube empty or filled with one color.
Empty tubes are working space
An empty tube is not simply a destination. It is the buffer that lets you expose buried colors and rearrange the order of the stacks. Filling every spare tube too early can leave several legal moves but no route to the finished arrangement.
A 1,000-level campaign
Early puzzles teach legal pours and color runs. Later levels use more colors and deeper interleaving, so solving requires a sequence rather than a single obvious move. Progress is saved locally in the browser, making the campaign easy to continue.
Useful strategy
- Expose colors that can join an existing group before opening another stack.
- Avoid placing different colors into every empty tube at the same time.
- When several pours are legal, prefer the one that creates a complete tube or restores a buffer.

Is SortBlox a water sort game?
It uses the same core color-sorting logic, but the pieces are solid blocks. Matching cubes at the top of a tube move together as a visible group.
