ArrowBlox: Arrow Escape Puzzle
ArrowBlox is a free online arrow escape puzzle about paths, order, and limited storage. Every block in a connected chain must have a clear route in the shared arrow direction before the whole chain can fly off the board. From level 4 onward, escaped chains enter a five-slot color dock, where any three matching chain colors clear. A move can be physically possible and still create a losing color order.
How to play ArrowBlox
- Trace the arrow route from every block in a connected chain to the edge.
- Tap a clear chain to launch the entire group off the board.
- A blocked tap costs one heart; three blocked attempts end the run.
- From level 4, escaped chains fill the five-slot dock from left to right.
- Match any three chains of one color, then clear every chain and finish with an empty dock.
Two puzzles in every move
The board asks which chain can leave now. The dock asks which chain should leave now. Strong solutions satisfy both constraints: each launch opens a useful route while building a color match. If the remaining color order can no longer be completed, the dock jams even when the board still has a legal move.
300-level campaign
The 300-level campaign spans 15 chapters. Levels 1–3 teach arrow paths without dock pressure, and levels 4–6 introduce color matching safely. Later logic puzzles add more colors, tighter routes, longer dependencies, and legal moves that demand planning several launches ahead.
Useful strategy
- Before launching, follow the chain's full route to the edge and check every occupied cell.
- Prefer moves that both unblock another chain and advance a dock match.
- Keep at least one dock slot available unless the next move completes a set of three.
Hints, undo, and stars
The hint button checks both the board and the current dock to find the next step on a complete solution. You can also undo the latest successful launch. Hints cap the result at two stars, while blocked taps and undos count as mistakes.

This browser puzzle has no timer and needs no download. Mouse and touchscreen controls use the same one-tap interaction, and campaign progress is saved locally on the device.

What blocks a connected chain?
Every occupied cell in the chain travels along the shared arrow direction. If any cell would hit another chain before reaching the edge, the entire launch is blocked.
Why can a clear arrow move still be wrong?
A clear path makes the move legal, but the escaped chain still uses a dock slot. The game checks whether the remaining chains can still produce a complete color-matching order; if not, the dock jams.
Do matching colors need to be next to each other?
No. As soon as three chains of one color are present anywhere in the five-slot dock, all three clear and the remaining colors shift left.
