ArrowBlox: Arrow Escape Puzzle

ArrowBlox is a block-based arrow puzzle about paths, order, and limited storage. Tap a connected block chain only when its arrow points toward a clear route off the board. From level 4 onward, each escaped chain enters a five-slot dock, where three matching colors clear. A move can be physically possible and still leave the dock in a losing state.

How to play ArrowBlox

  1. Find a chain whose embossed arrow has a clear path to the edge.
  2. Tap it to launch the entire connected chain off the board.
  3. After level 3, escaped chains enter the five-slot color dock.
  4. Collect three chains of one color to clear them before the dock fills.

Two puzzles in every move

The board asks which chain can leave now. The dock asks which chain should leave now. Strong solutions satisfy both constraints: each launch must open a useful route while building a color match instead of occupying the last free slots with unrelated colors.

300-level campaign

The opening levels introduce arrows and blockers without dock pressure. New colors, tighter routes, longer dependencies, and deceptive legal moves are added gradually. Later puzzles require planning several launches ahead rather than clearing the most obvious chain first.

Useful strategy

  • Before launching, follow the chain's full route to the edge and check every occupied cell.
  • Prefer moves that both unblock another chain and advance a dock match.
  • Keep at least one dock slot available unless the next move completes a set of three.

ArrowBlox questions

Why can a clear arrow move still be wrong?

A clear path makes the move legal, but the escaped chain still uses a dock slot. If its color cannot match before all five slots fill, the legal launch can cause a loss.

Is every ArrowBlox level solvable?

Yes. The 300-level main campaign is validated against the same path and dock rules used by the game.
