FitBlox: 8x8 Block Puzzle
FitBlox is a free online 8x8 block puzzle and endless high-score game. Choose from three fixed-orientation shapes, place them on the board, and clear every complete row or column. There is no timer. The challenge is using the current tray well while preserving useful space for future pieces.
How to play FitBlox
- Drag any available piece from the tray onto an empty part of the board.
- Fill a complete row or column to clear those blocks and score points.
- Place all three tray pieces to receive a new set.
- The run ends when none of the remaining pieces can fit.
Plan beyond one line
A move that clears immediately is not always the strongest move. Keep the center connected, avoid isolated single-cell holes, and preserve at least one larger open region. Since pieces cannot rotate, narrow gaps are much harder to repair than they first appear.
Scoring and difficulty
Every placed block scores a point, while completed lines earn much larger bonuses. Clear multiple rows or columns at once, clear on consecutive turns, connect same-color runs, or complete a pure-color line to raise the score faster. Your best score is saved locally.

- Check all three tray pieces before committing the first one.
- Build toward both rows and columns so one clear opens space for another.
- Use small pieces to repair awkward gaps instead of spending them automatically.
Three pieces, any order
You can place the three tray shapes in any order, but all three must be used before a new set appears. Compare their footprints first: the safest sequence often uses a large piece before a small shape closes its only open space.
