FitBlox: 8x8 Block Puzzle
FitBlox is a free block puzzle you can play online. Choose from three fixed-orientation pieces, place them on the 8x8 board, and clear every complete row or column. There is no timer. The challenge is keeping enough useful space for pieces you have not seen yet.
How to play FitBlox
- Drag any available piece from the tray onto an empty part of the board.
- Fill a complete row or column to clear those blocks and score points.
- Place all three tray pieces to receive a new set.
- The run ends when none of the remaining pieces can fit.
Plan beyond one line
A move that clears immediately is not always the strongest move. Keep the center connected, avoid isolated single-cell holes, and preserve at least one larger open region. Since pieces cannot rotate, narrow gaps are much harder to repair than they first appear.
Scoring and difficulty
FitBlox is an endless score challenge rather than a fixed campaign. Clearing multiple lines together is valuable, but survival depends on the shape of the board after the clear. As the run continues, every blocked corner limits the number of future placements.
Useful strategy
- Check all three tray pieces before committing the first one.
- Build toward both rows and columns so one clear opens space for another.
- Use small pieces to repair awkward gaps instead of spending them automatically.
FitBlox questions
Can pieces rotate?
No. Every piece must be placed in the orientation shown in the tray, so planning around its exact shape is part of the puzzle.
Does FitBlox have a time limit?
No. You can consider every placement for as long as you need. A game ends only when no remaining tray piece fits on the board.
